In 2003, the four local BIAs formed the Lakeshore Joint BIA Committee. Its purpose was to work together on projects of mutual interest and concern. By banding together, they would avoid duplicating or overlapping their efforts. They could also save time and money by pooling their human and financial resources. Although their primary focus is to promote business activity in the Lakeshore Area to residents and potential visitors, other benefits have been derived. There is now a better connection with our local politicians at all three levels and groups like Lakeshore Community Partnership and Division 22 Toronto Police.
